TSLB Panic
TSLB PANIC! – The lab burnout simulator
You’re the new lab technician in a clinical analysis laboratory. Samples keep arriving, phones keep ringing, instruments keep breaking, and your coworkers have all the time in the world to bother you. Keep your stress under control, don’t run out of energy, and try to survive the shift.
What you’ll do
- Work the reception desk. Receive samples from the window, the pneumatic tube (TONK!) and the couriers. Inspect them, check them in at the PC, spin them in the centrifuge and send them to the right place. Not every sample is acceptable: spot the bad ones, call the ward and deal with their reactions.
- Survive full shifts. Morning, afternoon, night and a special Sunday emergencies-only shift, with a clock and weekdays always on screen.
- Unlock the whole lab. Start in reception, then earn new grades (D0 to D6) to unlock the other departments. Each day you’re assigned to one workstation, until the final boss fight against the three executives.
- Run the instruments. Load samples, handle reagents from the fridge, fix errors and validate results.
- Manage stress and energy. Coffee calms you down, but only sleeping on the couch in the break room restores your energy. Unless a coworker is already sitting on it.
- Answer the phones. Departments call for results, executives call with conflicting orders, and the coordinator “just wants a quick update”.
- Meet the staff. A mop-wielding janitor who stops you to talk nonsense, a prankster in glasses, a coordinator who seems to appear at the worst moment, and many more. Funny, chaotic and slightly too realistic.
